Guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow and call Sweetwater

According to my guy at Sweetwater it's in the final approval stage at E-MU and slated to be released by month end.

E-MU made that release announcement back in January!
Lucky for them no one cares eh? :hihi:

I've noticed its a pretty late release... Last year I'd have been very interested in this, but I ended up buying a used Xtreme Lead in hardware and - not to disappoint or dissuade you - I wasn't very impressed with it at all and sold it quickly. To me, many of the sounds were similar, and of a 'thin' character. Also lots of tired dance cliches.

My point is, don't get too excited! :)

Now for just one more small unsolicited opinion: at one point I owned nearly every expansion for Emu X (Mo Phatt, Planet Earth etc). I didn't find any of them very useful or inspiring except:
the factory Proteus 2000 ROM
and Rob Papen's Beat Garden

Beat Garden is IMO *almost* buying a Emu X for. Not quite, for me though (thats another story!)
