Hi, just thought I'd start a thred on my own effect to get some feedback.
currently i could not get around sometimes having to restart the audio engine when it cuts out sometimes.
i am thinking of a way to fix that either with a button on the effect or a timed trigger to reset it but it might require some coding of which im not familiar with.
any suggestions are appreciated
anyone even try my vst yet though?

I tried it and can't get any sound out of it.
What I'm missing?

tried and liked it... but like you know it crashes sometimes (often...) and there are no results with some inputs!
it's sad because i really like this plug, really fun!!

mbreges, how are you using it?
the way i made it, you should connect your guitar/input into the line level computer input (not the mic in). i also reccomend using a host like VSTHost that allow you to restart the audio engine when it cuts out
im not really sure why it keeps doing that and im trying to work on it. i think it has to do with the level input and some of the modules i used
(hard to get an osc to track with a guitar)
i would like to see what frettedsynth thinks and if he can offer any pointers

Your best bet is using your neck pickup and staying on either low notes, or just avoiding high up on the fretboard especially on the high strings.
14th fret g string I think cut out for me and I had to restart.

yea use lower strings, but higher frets..8-15
produces generally better signals for it
although i belive the cutting out to happen more when the signal is broken or something with the threshold of dB

It's good fun, that's all I can say
Hasn't crashed on me yet, but then I haven't had a great deal of time to play yet either

nice glitch algorithm.. does remind me of analog circuit bending.
and no crashes.

lol ok cool...
i made two different updated versions...but i feel like they take away from the sound im going for.
one i changed the threshold values- more stable but can't get as glitchy
another i implimented midi in order to get better notes but i feel it sounds too digital
they both still cut out occasionally but not as much
not sure if i want to submit them yet
