hey moocher,
it's a vst 2.4 plugin - don't know if that might cause problems with older daws. Would it be too much to ask to try out the evaluation version of Live 6 on your machine and try running the plug in there? It can be downloaded freely at ableton.com. BTW, you can also upgrade for free to Live 5.2.x lite I believe. Not saying its not the plug, but just to eliminate some possible causes.

Woj, no that's not supposed to happen. I can't reproduce it here (with eXT 2 on Vista)
Could you tell me your platform (win, mac ppc, mac intel) ? Is there a particular preset that it happens with or all the time?
BTW if you hit the stop button in hypercyclic when it is already in the unarmed state (so when the play button no longer flashes) it will send an all notes off command. But again, that should not be necessary normally.

hmmm
thought it wasnt meant to do that...
it only seems to happen if i try to play more than one note at a time. 2 or more notes and it seems to hang.
Im running Windows XP Home SP2 on an acer laptop. The hanging occurs in standalone as well as energyxt, so its probably the hyper thats messed up or my midi set-up.
I'm using a USB midi cable with my 88key controller at the moment. I'll plug in my smaller keyboard and see if that hangs at all.
WoJ

just tried it with my smaller keyboard (which has its own USB connection) and that causes hanging notes too
oh and it hangs with both the in-built synth and external vsti's

edit: just took a look with MIDIOX to see if there was any particular velocity or note that caused a hang but it seems to happen at any velocity
dont worry about though, if no one else has had this problem its probably just my crappy computer

WoJ, I switched to XP here, standalone with simple external USB midi keyboard (m-audio) : no hanging notes...
seems to be somewhere on the input side : your system is apparently losing note-off events before they reach hc
you might try and run a diagnostic tool to log your midi input from your keyboard - see if every note-on is paired with a note-off.
If I remember well there is one at www.midiox.com
Just some more questions :
-have you tried menu>settings>restore defaults in the standalone version? (and then configured midi input again)
-in hc midi settings dialog box, you only checked your keyboard as midi input device, not as midi output device?
-are you using the factory presets or custom ones?

not sure you're considering FRs, but i thought it'd be nice to have control over the modulation depth/range for each param that can be modulated....

Hi mucoder, just tried LIve 6 and still the same gui apperance then crash thing. No worries, it must be a ppc thing. Still a good app and at least this was multi-platform so hats off for that.

No problems here, but I thought I'd just give you my love, in the form of letters. asdgashgashehhrtuti.
As I said elsewhere already: clean loos, clear interface, integrated help-system... I'm in love.
It's good to see you're sticking to more adventurous plugins than emulations and um... more. damned. emulations.
Theres a real lack of decent midi-plugins like these, especially ones that are so easy to use

)
Meanwhile I wrote up a user guide which the curious among you can download here : http://www.mucoder.net/hypercyclic/manual/
Contains a comprehensive parameter reference and also instructions on how to set up hypercyclic with Live 6, Cubase 4, EnergyXT2 and Logic Express 7.2.
In case you didn't figure out already how to do it, this should get you started with wiring hc to your plugin synths.
