I like it, very similar to Herc's Alarm. I can really get into it with a midi guitar.

Simple, and no real hit to the cpu at all.

Jamaica me, mon!

Yah mon

This thing sounds very impressive to say how simple it is, i mean one osc with a pitch lfo and an ADSR for the amplitude!. I don't think a synth can get much simpler, But the sound is great and it's fun to play with.

Very good for quality , low-fi sounds

cheers

Yeah I definitly love it! I'm using it in my drum&bass track "Playing with water" that I'm writing now. There is just one thing that I miss in Rastabox: A knob that controls the pitch within a 3 octave range. You have the fine knob. I'm asking for an offset knob that affects the detune a bit more. This way you can create more living and more intresting sounds.

i really appreciate design like this.. well implemented, (newbie and otherwise) friendly and facile. patched to make your experience available to producers worldwide :)

I posted this in the "First impressions" thread:

Being a klutz and a newbie, I often struggle with music software. But Rastabox hits my spot: a clear GUI, big simple controls, tweakable presets (and lots of them), low CPU use and a great sound. I followed the instructions in the textfile and slapped a phaser and delay after Rastabox. The result:  Dubtastic!

Thank you to Lithium for making me sound good :hihi: and thanks to all the DC programmers. Now, on to the next 40 entries. This is going to be fun...

Hey thanks guys... I'm glade you like it. I've only been using Synthmaker for a few months and this was the fist real synth project to complete. It was a joy to put together and I really think turned out great.

I don't think I have any Rastabox on my site right now, I'm on a guitar sampler-ring modulator kick.

Wish I could make a synth, in Synthedit, I can't get anything going. I can make guitar octavers.
