I bought a Taylor C141 while in Calgary. I had to load it in the baggage compartment of the plane back to Montreal. It came back in one piece

All true men use flats on bass. It's only children who go for the top-end clank.kevvvvv wrote:What sort of music are you into to use flatwounds? Pls tell
I'm on an Epiphone kick, just bought this:

...and one of these is in the mail:
...though not a '60's one like the pic. A reissue...everything else is identical, though.
I found out that it's the guitar of choice for psychedelic fish, so I had to have one.

Remember: With Epiphones, they are not girly as long as they aren't a copy of a Gibson model.
Epiphone Les Paul=girly
Epiphone Riviera=manly

Not usually. Usually it's fingers. If something calls for a pick, I'll grab one, though.
I'm one of them guys where the fingers is flying everywhers. This is what I look like playing bass wiv me fingers:
...well, fingers and a wig...
Guitar is fingers+pick...with sometimes just one or the other. Depends on what I'm going for.
...mind you, if I were to play a black flying V, I would use a pick exclusively.

i really like the look of the epi guits you got/ are getting...i have a "girly" sheraton fake 335, a natural finish model...i bought it because i found it at a pawn shop w/hardshell case for $250, and i used to have a brownburst version i got when they first came out, but it got ripped off...i think the wood, pu's, style is good, but i never liked how the neck is fitted in to the body...seems on most of the guits i've tried the neck is not set at an angle that would allow a good even action up and down the fret board....seems like one can get it setup ok, but it never has the classy "butter" playability...i'd never want it too low, but i'd like the axe to be easy to play, and have true intonation up and down the neck....Sleek Month wrote: I'm on an Epiphone kick, just bought this:

I'm now the proud owner of this Richwood RG-18-CE electro acoustic. After a bit of work from my local luthier setting it up as I wanted it, it's as good an acoustic as I've ever played.
and this Richwood Artist Series Tree Of Life limited edition Les Paul. The pic doesn't even come close to showing how stunningly beautiful this guitar actually is, and it plays/sounds as good as it looks.

A total cost of just over £700 for both, me is very, very happy
