Hi Stochaton users. Thanks for trying my AU.
First, I have created a brief manual. It covers some of the basic synthesis and programming techniques, as well as the entire UI controls' purposes. It's about 30 pages, really quick, with many pictures.
You will find the manual, updates and other relevant future releases here:
http://www.eigentoneresearch.com/Downloads.html
This link may break while this post is visible (several years?). If it is broken, try searching:
http://www.eigentoneresearch.com/
If you have problems, questions, feedback, etc... feel free to post them here. I'll try to answer them, but understand - I may not have time. Hopefully, other KVRians can help or point you to a previous reply if this happens.

Here are Stochaton's minimum requirements.
If you are having UI display problems, please read this.
Minimum Requirements
Stochaton may be run on any Apple Computer running OS X 10.4.0 (Tiger) or greater.
It has been built and tested as a Universal Binary, so it will run natively under hosts on both PPC and Intel based Macs.
An AU host which supports Cocoa UIs is recommended. These hosts include Logic, Plogue Bidule, GarageBand, AU Lab and others. There are a few major hosts which do not support Cocoa UIs at this time. If you never see the UI shown in this manual, your host does not support Cocoa UIs. If your host does not support Cocoa UIs, it ought to create a generic UI for Stochaton's parameters. When a host creates a generic UI, some hosts will support only a portion of the parameters and published features.
=============================================
Please see the manual for important notes regarding future compatibility. Some of the settings will load a differently in future releases - which will be delivered soon (hopefully everything significant will be reported and resolved within a few days).
Please report anomalies so they may be adjusted as soon as possible. Sorry, I just don't want to implement a large versioning scheme out of the gates.
Thanks,
J

Hi Stochaton users,
I'll provide a updated repository of AU Presets, if anybody is interested in donating their presets. Since I don't know how the large the turnout will be on this, please keep the names sensible and somewhat descriptive of the sound.
Stochaton uses the default aupreset format. When in your host, just hit 'Save Preset As...' or the equivalent. This preset is then saved someplace on your hard disk, often:
/Users/your_user_name/Library/Audio/Presets/Eigentone Research/Stochaton/preset_name.aupreset
At the moment, the only direct way I can think of noting authors is through comments. Perhaps a ReadMe if the repository gets large or...
If you'd like to submit presets to be made available to any Stochaton user, please attach and email them to:
stochatonpresets@eigentoneresearch.com
Thanks,
J
