NSkit 7 Commercial, why does no one know about it?

DFHS has me spoiled with its multi mic setup, so I really have had no interest at all in drum libraries without all the mics intact. As far as I can tell, NS Kit doesn't have this, correct me if I am wrong of course.

I think you are right. But, for me, the features totally outweigh the fact it doesn't have micing options.

Yeah, Douglas answered that question before. The hihat alone is 4.4 gb. With a multi-mic setup, the library wouldn't be very practical unless he comprimised some of the articulations, velocity layers, or other features.

Then again, some people would rather just load a kit than have to mix the mics themselves.

Yeah, I can understand the compromise, I just feel ToonTrack hit the nail on the head when they did both, good level of articulations, multi mic, and reasonable size (the larger hi-hats are 900+ mb's at 44khz).

So it does just come down to personal taste with this setup, but as has been mentioned, I'm sure it was a plethora of reasons beyond the fine product that made it get looked over, or just never heard of.

I've got my order in. It was actually some of Gregjazz's demos of manytone products that got me intrested in the ns kit. The brush kit samples sounded really good and those can be hard to find.

It's an 18-gig 5DVD library for roughly 110 USD (55 GPB) with free shipping. I'm guess it will take a while to get to anyone especially in America since it's not manufactured yet, but it will definitely be worth the wait. (Note it is 45GBP for the first 25 orders)

It's the most complete acoustic drumkit library I've ever seen. You get Stick, Brush, Mallet, and Hand (yes hand) hits on most of the drums. You also get a 4-drum Conga library extensively sampled given to owners of NS_Kit 7. The only thing is that it doesn't have mic positions and it requires a sampler like Kontakt or HAlion.

Some other awesome features include automatically triggered hand-stop cymbal samples and Snare On/Off. Listening to the sound demos especially you can tell the library is setup so that you never hear a machine gun effect.

..Snare On/Off for all the snares. I don't even know what that means because I'm not a drummer, but basically the sound difference is from resonant to slappy...?

Refers to wires on the bottom head of the snare, its what makes a snare sound so snappy when on.
