I tried it on the CS-80V and the Oddity. Both cause this error. I haven't tried other plugins on Tracktion, but I can if you want.

V1.2 crashes Cubase 3SL (latest version) here (V1.1 worked fine though). Cubase says the whole "critical error occured, save now to not lose any work..." (on my system in german so I don't know exactly what the english version says). Wrapping energyxte, polyiblit or CSR.

Aaah, I know what the problem is!

VST uses an internal structure called AEffect for each effect. In my wrapper, I keep track of two - the wrapper AEffect, and the hosted AEffect. What happens upon getParameter is that I forgot to hook it and give it the correct hosted AEffect, so at the moment it receives the wrapper AEffect. This is a simple oversight on my part and will be fixed in the next update (I think).

Arrived safely in Littleton, CO ... now I can work on the oversampler again.

By the way, I did a little test the other day with Wusik Oversampler. Wusik Oversampler seems to have a steeper downsampling filter (looking at the spectrum analyzer). I cannot compare much since the demo limitation of the Wusik one does not allow me to change anything with the hosted plugins.

Your Oversampler already gives life to some of my plugins. Compatibility with Tracktion and an improved real-time downsampling filter would be the only 2 things I wish for now.

Part of what I'm working on for the 1.3 update is an internal code restructuring so that it's easy for me to add other kinds of filters. So you could chose the current one, which is light on the CPU, or better ones, or more oversampling, etc., all in the filename.

I probably won't have an improved filter for 1.3 but the code will be there to make it happen, and 1.4 will probably feature additional filters (assuming everything goes well).
