Hi all

what do you people use fft for in sound design/production?
Any tips?

For sound design I use convolution engines with exotic impulse responses.

For me it works quite well and it's an interesting method to make new sounds.

You can just load any wav file into a convolution reverb. Just go crazy and try anything. I've tried helicopter and machinegun sounds and it was pretty cool.
