Yes, it's about that 2000 killer track - and about my personal voyage back into those techno-alike areas.
I hope someone remembers this tune because I am neither able to upload a sample, nor to find a suitable link where you could shortly listen to it. However, I wonder how to create a sound as this somehow lo-fi but powerful, raspy 'lead bass' in the 'Bon Voyage' track. I would place it in an other musical context, but actually have the feeling it MUST be a sound like this.
So, anyone here who knows it and the trick?

Finally a fellow Bon Voyage fan...
You want a detuned saw bass:
1) Take a saw wave synth and apply a lowpass with say 30 per cent resonance
2) Slightly detune it using "mda detune" or something similar. Maybe a chorus with the right settings will do the trick.
3) Alternatively if your synth has two oscillators you can detunte them ever so slightly.
in this case make sure the low pass filter is at the master stage of your synth.
It should get you 90 per cent of the way there.
