I think people here need to be aware of this...

it's seems monster cable is doing more than churning out terribly high cost products with qc problems.

They also like to rip apart as many small business that share the word "monster" as possible. Oh, and it doesn't matter to them if you have anything to do with audio at all

It's probably best that you "see" for yourself...

These are the companies that monster cable is "currently" suing...
and...
The cakewalk thread that's kind of tracking it all...

hope no-one here thought too highly of them in the first place. i sure didn't.

a. Although many companies ARE making high quality cables, imo monster has not for about two decades.

b. I cannot get access to the "suing" part from either website, so I'm still a bit unclear.

c. All really big companies are asses...........and actually, that's how they got that way

Being a recent member you wouldn't be aware of the history that monster has here, there was a long thread a year or two ago about the company...

I used to buy "hi end" cables for reliability reasons, and along the way ended up with 2 Monster Cable guitar cables. Both failed on me within 2 years. Meanwhile I have a bunch of cheap "Mars Music" guitar cables that I have had for nearly 10 years that still work great...

Mogami and Canare blow the complete crap out of anything Monster will ever make. Take a look at the top ten studios in the world and see if Monster cable stock shows up anywhere. I doubt it.

I will give Monster full cudos for the incredible marketing scam they have pulled over the consumer market - making everyone "think" that you will experience a/v nirvana by dropping 265 on a Monster HDMI cable....
