Hey, I've got a JOE MEEK VC3 PRO, but without the AC power supply. A regular 12V should do, but I was wondering if any of you knows which one is ground on the input socket? Is it the middle or the edge?

Basic EQ tip: highpass all that don't hit subs, usually all but bass and kick

Thanks for trying, but the manual does not say anything about which is ground. I of course tried to google before I wrote here.

All that the manual has to say is this and I'm not going to obey even if it's printed in capitals:

THE POWER SUPPLY
An external 12V AC power supply provides the power for the unit. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO POWER THE UNIT FROM ANY POWER SUPPLY OTHER
THAN THE ONE SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT. Circuitry inside the unit
converts the 12V AC into 14.5-0-14.5V and 48V DC supplies for the
amplifiers and the phantom power.
Power rating is 5 watts.

If it's out of warranty, just open it up and follow the conductors. Ought to be evident then.

It needs AC: alternating current. So there's no ground nor power, it shouldn't matter which is which.

With a multimeter set to Ohms you can figure out what's connected to the chassis ground if you really wanna know...

That's what I was thinking at first, but I figure the power connector likely has two AC power conductors plus one conductor to ground the chassis. [edit: had a look at the PDF and it didn't clear it up; the rear panel diagram just shows a circle that might represent one of those Japanese-type concentric two-conductor plugs, or it might be a mini-DIN with any number of pins.]

@Repeat2: A photo? Or a clue -- two conductors or three? If it's two you might have no worries at all. If three, getcha a multitester as C00kie recommends. If you've not yet got one, even fairly decent ones that will serve you well over the years can be had cheaply.
