Hi. Thanks for the reply. I'm using Firefox. How do I use Down-Them-All in firefox? Is this a program I need to get?

What Reverse Engineer said ... use that link, click on the green install button and then you're in business. It is fairly intuitive to use but there is a built-in help function just in case. It is very useful for all manner of DL'ing and I highly recommend it.

I am trying to download the Independence free version. I am only able to get a download speed of around 2kb a second though. Am I doing something wrong, or is their server undergoing maintenence or something? I am using IE 7 and am on a broad band connection.

I had that. It starts with burts of up to 300-400, but then goes down to 7/8 after a couple of minutes. I've been pause/resuming it to get the best speeds [also not to clog up the corporate network @ work!]

I haven't finished yet...

Look for the german homerecording site link a few pages back. There's someone who uploaded the files on an other file server. Much quicker than the Yellow Tools site!

K thanks, because I am not even getting high speed bursts on the yellow tools server it literally 2kb/sec.

That german download link has limits for free downloads. I was able to download the first link, but it said I had to weight an hour before I could use it again.

That download site is crap that the German Forum links to.I kept getting that message too, and then they say "no download slots available".

So I'm back to d/ling again form the Yellow Tools site with Free Download Mgr. It's chugging along at 20 kb/sec or so.It's gonna take a while..................

It took me about 5 days to get the instrument folder to download.. It was very slow but I finally got it and am very happy with the free sounds included. Hang in there. It's worth the wait.

Yeah that German site was crap. It downloaded the first portion pretty fast, but the next portion it said no slots available. I went to a link farther down and it said I had to wait for an hour. I am trying that free download manager, but it says it will take about 24 hours. What is up with their server, even with the FDM I am getting 24kb/sec at most and it is floating between that and 8kb/sec. Anyway to boost the bandwidth?

The first time I tried downloading Yellow Tools was with Wellget and I never got over 70kbs. So after waiting 2 hours for the exe, I tried DownThemAll! for the content file and finest downloading that in 45 minutes

After you find were the download manager saved the files, you will need to unzip them. Theres many apps that will do that, like; 7-zip, Winzip, KGB Archiver or even just use the Windows shell (right click)

Sorry to hear. I guess I was lucky that I downloaded everything on a week day (also as a free download). Maybe there's more traffic or less download slots available in the weekend?
