thx for the extra hours put into this to satisfy an old Athlonist. Sound is finally there. And it's groovy and sway as a Millennium Falcon. Woosh, I could be flying this bird all night long ...
Input: watching the world go by ...
Manifestors: AMD Athlon XP 2600 / Terratec DMX 6 Fire / Windows XP / Cubase SX ...
Output: McCartnoTRON

1.0.4b ??? Where can I download this updated version? I just checked the main download page for the DC Challenge plugs , and Alieno is still at 1.0.2 according to the description. Looks AMAZING but Im unfortunately one of the "no-sound" victims;)
Thanx in advance.

I got it by email direct from Acrobat because I was on the beta list for this fix. It hasn't been released yet. Send Acrobat an email. He may have a newer version by now.cymazic wrote:1.0.4b ??? The new 104b came to me from his email list, flip back a page and find where acrobat posted his email for the purpose of updates, or PM him.

The user manual is included in the official ZIP package, not in the betas. You can have it downloading 1.0.2 or the new 1.0.4 shortly coming on KVR!lucknow13 wrote:Acrobate thanks for the sound fix. Now working and I'm checking it out . Pretty cool. Is there a manual or help file? Thanks again! Terrific Work!
PS: I already sent the fixed official version to Tuz of KVR, the complete 1.0.4 download will appear very soon, I think!

Ok, here's my impression:
1. Very good sounding, very powerful, cuts trough the mix well, good for leads, sequences & bass.
I like the filter & specially the animation & mod wheel features. Simple, useful & fun.
The gui is also nice, all funky and spacey.
2. Unfortunately, i'm having stability problems.
It crashes Ableton Live 5 on a Pentium IV 3.0 Ghz with 1 Gb RAM and Windows XP SP2, when i have more than one instance and change presets.

as for multiple instances and preset change problems, it's actually a SynthMaker issue: fortunately the new version of this editor, published just yesterday, claims to have improved a lot this, so it's just a matter of time that I put Alieno in sync with that changes...
