Vote in categories

Just thought about the top-5 voting and that it will be very hard to honor all the great work done.
So I came up with the idea that (like other contests do it) it would be nice if one could also vote for some special features. In addition (or instead) of the top 5 voting one could vote for different categories like 'best overall', 'sexiest interface', 'most innovative', 'craziest out of orbit sound' or something like that.
The winner of a category wouldn't get any money but some cool non-cash prize for his work.

Haven't really thought it through. So I just post it here and see what others think about it

don't know about your idea, but i agree : a top 5 is really a pain!! too many great plugs!! a top 10 would be better...
just my opinion...

I'd like to vote for a category like "Best cross-platform plugin". If something like this were part of the challenge next year, then maybe the developers would be more motivated to contribute Mac and even Linux ports.
