How do you use those 'impulses'?? Sorry, I have no clue hehe

You know, I wasn't going to try this for some reason (i.e. freeware guitar amp sims usually suck, it not having a cab, etc.) but in hindsight that would have been dumb. Fantastic work!

I've been using this with Amplitube 2's Marshall cabs and what a great combo that is. This is in fact an amazing amp sim.

LEt me ask some of you any tips you have to get a really awesome sound out of this. What sort of cab sims/effects do you use to get a good tone?

Also, jens originally came up with the idea of reducing the input gain to Studio Devil BVC to get a clean tone out of it (so thanks for that idea, jens), except by using G-Gain which does work great and uses less CPU, but sounds a little more "Brit" (like a clean VOX, a bit tubby in the mids) which is cool, but with TubeDriver I can get a more Fender type clean which is my favorite.

oh, the TubeDriver doesn't use much cpu - I have to try that - thanks for the tip!

Wow!!

Revalver MKII is wicked on its own anyway, but combining this with its cabinet modelling facilities, you can get some amazing high gain tone!! I love it!

What, are you saving up for a rainy day? With G-Tune, TubeDriver, Studio Devil BVC, BlockFish, CamelCrusher, 3D Motion DMP, SA Univibe, MDA Dub Delay, and Ariesverb running it's taking about 30% of my 5 year old Inspiron 8200's CPU - it's what my CPU is for AFAIK (I freeze/render).

EDIT: for this use (input gain reduction for SD BVC) I'm using Nick's TubeDriver, not the Wagner Sharp. They are both great, BTW - thanks again, Nick!

G gain is not a tube amp ... so it can't give a brit tone ... am I wrong here ?

yes, you are , since the tone of the amp sim changes according to the input-gain, while the plugin itself isn't providing any input-control...

G-Gain in front in front of Studio Devil BVC to lower input gain will get a clean sound out, but it still has those "Brit" mids (BVC = British Valve Custom) - Nicks TubeDriver before Studio Devil BVC can also lower input gain to get a clean tone out of SD BVC but the mids are subdued and sounds more Fender-like to me.

tbh I think BVC can get quite bity (but without sounding harsh, so that's probably what you mean)
