Looks like Line6 is trying to get into the 8 channel audio interface market:
TonePort UX8
Looks sort of good except that it can't be used with a USB hub and it doesn't mention anything about being able to chain more than one UX8 together for more inputs at once. But it does come loaded with the GearBox Plug-in option. Still, it is a bummer that they didn't do this unit in a FireWire flavor. I guess I'll hang onto my UX2 and Presonus Firepod a while longer. The Firepod's mic pre's are quite a bit better than the UX2's for critical recording IMHO.

When you look at the specs of all of Toneports, it appears that the pre-amps on the new UX8 are different than the previous Toneport models.
Dynamic range is 110db on the UX8, it is the nebulous "greater than 100db" on all of the others. There is a 75hz low-cut filter and -20db pad available for each channel.

I own a KB37. But I got it for my bedroom, I'm not a pro - I don't need 8 in, or 8 out!
