They're all over. Dr Modus in the developer challenge, I download some kit from the samples forum a couple days ago, look around. There should be a sticky in the samples forum to many free sampling sites, many where you can press a play button and hear the sample before you download it.

The issue is, what kind of "kick snare hihat" samples are you looking for? Realistic (acoustic) or unrealistic (tarnceshit).

If you're looking for acoustic, your best chances are to look for the EasyRider, RuffRider, and ns_kit7 free sample sets, for a start. There are more freebies but they most likely won't be in WAV format.

As for tracneshit or unrealistic (hip-hop/dance), VIPZone, Peace Love Productions, and ModernBeats sites offer free samples under that category. (Course they'll have other stuff come with it.)

There's tons of samples on that site. I have more samples and even more drum samples there and many other people are kind enough to offer quality samples for free there as well.

Not the best quality recordings (gigastudio), but not terrible enough to keep to myself.

Say the word if .wav's are preferable.
