Hi
I only get a file 22kb, when I try to download?

Post

@pgvpgv333: it must be an error, the zip size is around 5Mo

haven't had chance to unzip it,but it's over 5mb for me.

looks cool....looking forward to checking it out :)

well a quick try,and it made nice banks for all my own stuff anyway.
i love the new look.
a couple of things that would make it better,imo;
being able to change the random type for the whole list with one click.
in fact i think 'normal' would make a better default, cos with uniform i was getting quite a few silent patches.
dll drag and drop?
remembering the path for vst lists as different to the dll/fxb path? as you'd more than likely want to save your lists in one folder, not in various plugin folders.

but well done, this keeps getting better and better.great work! :tu:

@spacedad, aMUSEd, KTHE: thanks for your comments!

The dll drag and drop is a very good idea, I will try to make it quickly possible!
Actually, the vst list format (vpg file) isn't really perfect (it doesn't save the name of the parameters, and you can't modify it...), so I need to change it and let the compatibility for the old save of course ;)
It's ok for remembering different paths for vst list and vst files. Do you think it would be interresting to have a path for dll files and a path for patch file (fxp/fxb)?

Moreover, there is allways some problems with some famous VSTs (from rgcaudio or from NI for example :( ) and I really would like to solve this compatibility. The main cause is that they have their own save system, and I don't know how does it interract with the VST Host "save" function. But I will find !

yeah,i guess some people save their fxp/b's separate from their dll's(logic used to do that).

any chance of an 'all' checkbox for normal or uniform etc?

Of course yes ! and I want to make a "total random" button, to make random values in random generator's parameters :o

Stay tuned

Read my vst and generates very random individual presets, but fails to write a proper vsti bank (I think this is because it needs to write 128 presets (namely, 0-127) instead of a maximum of 100). The vsti I am using to test this is finicky that way - it just says that the size of the bank file is incorrect.

Thank you for such an innovative and useful program!

Ok, I changed the maximum from 100 to 1000. In the next release (soon !), you may be able to generate banks for your VST :)

By the way, what is the name of your VST ?

New release (0.2.3), with lots of stuffs from your comments:

- Can change the application's language at the beginning (currently only English and
French)
- changed the max of program in a bank (100 to 1000)
- generation button in the tool bar
- the colums of the parameters table are automatic resized.
- buttons to assign the same random method to all parameters
- button to assign random method and random values to all parameters (just for fun!)
- use of the progress bar when generating a patch file
- on close, don't ask to save the vst list if it's empty
- No crazy progress bar behavior when you load a vpg file
- Use a ini file to store the path of differents files (vst folder, vpg folder
and fxb/fxp folder)
- Can import VST parameters from a drag&drop of a dll or patch file (spacedad idea)
- change value in the parameter table in only one click (just to save life of your mouse ;) )

So, I hope that fixing bugs don't create other problems... Moreover I'm looking for people able to translate the software in their own language.

:)
