ACID 6 Installation of ST

Hi,

Over the years I have installed loads of Sampletank versions and used in ACID. In recent times my Sampletank has been coming up in ACID as "Sampletank2 1" and "Sampletank 2.X 1" for the later versions.

I have tried to open some old projects. They cant be opened because they are looking for "Sampletank2" that is without the "1" appended

I've no idea why it has started to append 1 at the end of each installation. My other hosts e.g. Tracktion all fine.

Finding out why this happens would be one thing, a workaround to rescue my projects would be lifesaver.

Try this old trick (sometimes it works, sometimes it does f**k all)... open your start menu, open a run box and type regedit (bear in mind you do this with acid closed)...navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Media Software\ACID Pro\6.0\Metrics\VSTi Synth, right click on the plugs folder and delete it, close regedit. Now reopen acid, it will do a rescan of all plugs.
