Post

see this post for a simple key-switch example ...

Post

Here is key swtich with 4 controls (right-click to set output CC):
Image
If the "Note"-field contains a "-", then the On-switch will act as a toggle on-off switch, if no "Note" is entered, but you want a part to act as a Selector, then the "Note"-field must contain a number. The "Note"-field responds to a note sent through the "Ch In" input channel. If you want to receive a note from any other channel, you need to add an input note by right-clicking on the "On"-switch (button), and change a row from "Off" to "Note", set "chan", "par", also set "P d" to "P" so that the Note-value will be saved with the preset.

Right-Click on e.g. the 3rd button to set an input CC, and set the "P d" field to "P", meaning the CC-value will be saved with the preset.
Image
The first row contains a Key-setting, meaning, if the plugin has input focus you can also switch, using the "1" thru "8" PC-keys...

Right-Click on e.g. Ctrl-1 of part-1 (1st column) to set an output CC, and set the "P d" field to "P", meaning the CC-value will be saved with the preset.
Image

Double-click on a button or label to change the text. (saved per preset)

Right-click on the background to import the example preset: mx8-1.txp

Looks awesome from the possibilities ...
If I wouldn't have started to program my own plugins I think I would be all over them :)

thanks for all your work!

This might be of interest to some of you.

It is an updated version of mGUI, which allows wrapping of GUI-less plugins, also the MIDI-capabilities and Part-Functions have been greatly improved ... ;-)

Will it ever be possible to build a GUI for multiple plugins (which allready have gui's)?

I have a alpha version working, but only for plugins that can receive MIDI-CC, or plugins wrapped with the mGUI VST-wrapper ... as you can see mGUI can be extended with up to 7 extra MIDI ports ...
this means you need to set-up MIDI-CCs to those parameters you wish to control through mGUI.
mGUI can be used as a control-centre sending MIDI-signals to up to 8 MIDI ports:
In this example 2 5-octave manuals (MIDI channel 1+2) and a 2 octave pedal(MIDI channel 3), expression pedal and sustain on channel MIDI channel 16) plus a BCR-2000 (set to MIDI channel 15) are sent to "organ.dll"

I still don't have the time to dive into this but I'll surely theme some of my favourite plugins to make a "suite" fitting with my skin.

I've chosen all my fx so that they have reasonable, usable GUIs but your work opens up new choices, I can reassess some plugins thanks to you!

Further announcements and discussions about mGUI will be placed here ...

Updated mGUI & mGUIman to v1.5.9, also updated most MIDI plugins ...

I just quickly tried wrapping xhip v0.6.11.13 with mGUIman's VST-builder, it seems to work ... ;-)

except for the non-automated complex parameters which are only shown on my gui :)

some parameters can not easily be represented by a 0.0 - 1.0 range value of course.
