weird that not a single link to file is working...but more than 404 it seems like a traffic limit , due to free hosting features....i may be wrong tho, as myself i cannot read or speak russian apart from tovarisch, vodka and dasvedanja (sp?)
i should have a back up copy of those 2, anyway, if in need of a quick hookup =

This Thread is definitely worth reviving! Fortunately, these reinstalls are going very smooth. The only issues I've had are of locating very old keys of very old software so as to reinstall that old software so that current software upgrades can see them and do their thing. It's frustrating how CDs become unreadable over time. You may think you have thing's archived but you don't. The solution? Multiple backups on differing media. That's what ultimately has saved the day.

ooh i hear ya on that! i have unreadable media that i happened to have burned, doublechecked moving the files to C, put in the case and NEVER used until necessary, and then they didnt work when in need!
such frustrating!!
nowadays i tend to do double backup myself of the most important stuff..

It's easy to complain - the factory pressed CD's have a lifetime of nearly 100 years. The self burned CD's with blue shimmering surface have a lifetime of ten years, with golden surface thirty and with silver surface eighteen years. And thats only when you take care with that cd!!!
By the way I am searching for a old synth-edit gem, named "Acido Amigo micro". It's an old VSTi of the beginning years of synthedit of 2003/2004. I don't know the name of the developer. But it was a 303-Emulation and good for Leads, too.
If someone has it on its harddrive would make me very happy. I had all of the synth and effects posted here on my harddrive before and many many more - but this little synth I've lost in the last years - in fact the cd, on where it was, was broken too. So, many cd's willl died before ten years are after.

Hi all, nice that this is revived

. Concerning the data loss I know the problems too, unreadable discs were not the big problem here, but backing up stuff on a new seagate USB2 drive that crashed then after 2 weeks, forever...

edit: 2nd link works fine, first worked too, but just after 10 errors. Thanks, Spacedad
