Does anybody have an idea when the Future Retro XS is coming out and what its price will be?

Also, it being a monophonic analog synth, how do you think it matches up to the Little Phatty?

Jered first told me about his idea for this synth over 2 1/2 years ago and back then his goal was to release it for under $1K. I have no idea if he's going to be able to stick to that goal at this point in time.

Going off the sound examples on the site, the sounds are more similar to a really, really good Odyssey than a Moog. I don't think a direct comparison could be made between the two for that reason, though it's evident from the sound examples that the XS is capable of far more than any current Moog synth.

Pushed back to Fall last I heard.

Only similar thing would maybe be Analogue Solutions Red Square. Seeing as the RS goes for about $1,100, and the XS does quite a bit more, It should probably be around the $1,500 mark. Just my personal conclusion, not any official word.

The site now says that they will ship in December, and that 100 will be produced before the end of the year.

Pre-orders are now taken, and the price is 1,299.00.
