Hi,
This is perhaps more of a feature request.... It would be very handy to have independent oscillator routing to effects using the matrix. This would help combination/layer type sounds where, for example, the electric piano would go to reverb but the string pad to a phaser effect.
Or sometims I just want one osc dry, but the other affected.
What do you say Big Tick ?

Saying that it can be done, at the expense of extra cpu usage since the way oscillators get mixed into the effects would get more complex. And it would eat up a bit of screen real estate.

Thanks for the reply.

The extra CPU use would be worth it, i think, especially if the extra cycles can be made active only if matrix routing is used. Otherwise it could be off for those who would rather preserve cpu (like the waveshaper on/off option).

Regarding the GUI. How about a small tab, that would switch the matrix to another view, where all the extra effect routing could be executed ? This way the GUI will be left untouched.
:)

BTW.
I have been editing sounds on Rhino and love the sounds I'm getting. Initially, I was a bit petrified by the envelopes, but find them very quick to use now.

Good to hear you're into sound design. If I get this new feature into Rhino, obviously it will need presets to show it off :)

..Is what I'm working on now.
I'd just say, many thanks for including the overdrive effect. It helps to create some dub-tastic bass sounds ! Also, it's very unusual to see the symphonic effect, which I love from using Yamaha hardware effects.

The extra fx routing would give more refined sounds. In a way, Rhino, with its six oscillators is a perfect candidate for such FX layering.
So...p l e a s e !
