I downloaded the Compressive competition entry and pludged it into FLS7 and immediately my firewall alerted me to an attempt by FLS to monitor my keystrokes!
This has never happened before with FLS and only happened when I plugged compressive in to try it...
mod edit: thanks for the post. just edited since caco is looking into it. i didn't want people to panic for nothing.

Hi dph, I can promise you and everyone else catagorically that Compressive is in NO way whatsoever tracking or logging your keystrokes or anything else in any way.
Could you please let me know what firewall you are using? Does this happen with both versions of Compressive? Does this happen if you load Compressive into any other host? Is this alert repeatable or is it a one off? Did you have any other plugins loaded in FLS at the same time that could have triggered this alert? Did the alert in any way suggest it was caused by Compressive or did the alert just coincide with loading Compressive?
Thanks
Caco

I use Zonealarm with the highest protection setting - all unusual calls are alerted.
I just tried it again. I got the message on the pro version again. Then I loaded another VST plugin (amplitube) ok without a message from Zonealarm, then I loaded the lite version after that and *boom* the same message again. So it seems repeatable.
I havent tried another host (fruity is the only one I know how to use at this time!) and no other plugins were loaded at the time of testing.
The message happened immediately after loading Compressive.
Hope this helps.
PS: To be fair I have other messages that puzzle me like: Internet explorer trying to accept connections from the internet. Its a browser not a server(!) But I dont get the "Trying to monitor keystrokes" message.
Try setting your firewall to highest setting and see if you get a message. Does your program monitor keystrokes at all as part of its operation?

Hi dph - I also use ZoneAlarm on the highest settings and cannot get this message to appear using Compressive in the latest FL Studio demo. I will keep investigating though.
The knobs on Compressive turn more slowly if the shift key is held down but that is the only way in which it responds to keys. I can promise you that it is definately not monitoring or logging keystrokes or anything else in any way at all
