Old "Hall Brass" Amiga 500 from the 80s - how to make?

Hi,

i'm looking for an old brass sound from the good old Amiga times:

It's called "Hall Brass" and was on several sound disks for the SoundTracker.

It sounds like a preset... and the machine must be manufactured before 1988.

On Nelly Furtado you can hear an similar sound:

I got a lot brasses but no one sounds like this one

Does anybody know how to make a clone of this sound or know the machine + preset?

Oh, the nostalgia!

I bet there's a million MOD files you could rip that patch from. Will have a hunt around, wouldn't mind adding that sound to my collection as well.

I got this preset/patch of course as .wav-file but i want it in 16 bit, high quality and perhaps multi sampled...

so you want it sampled. not synthesized...

Yep! Either as multi sample set from the original preset OR as an similar patch for a popular vsti like Synth1, SQ8L, Pro-53, FM-7, ...

You're assuming the sound was taken from some obscure sampler or sound module back in the day, which may be true but perhaps the Amiga SoundTracker patch is the original preset?

Yes i'm assuming this because some of the other sounds on the disks have prefixes like "Korg", "Roland" and "Emu"...

It's also possible that the creator just sampled it from a commercial tune... or it's just an ordinary brass sound with fast attack and a shortly pressed keyboard chord.
