I really should get back into using this thing. The FX unit is the best thing ever released.

Though I'm still having trouble loading custom waveforms. (The bloody chips folder and "%root%\chips" instead of ".\chips" or something.)

I just realised the dude added my random set into the preset back.. :O

Was gonna scratch all of that to a seperate folder and make a new "proper" set.

Well, what a big luck that you confess it was a random set... I was thinking about finishing my job with FXP's.

Guys, think about loading those fxp's using your own hosts, some hosts allow to browse presets in a faster way than the "Load" button.

It's mainly the effect presets that are entirely random suited for personal needs. Should clean it up and pick out the noteworthy ones.
The presets, while mostly random, I've only saved the ones that are worth using. In addition the more recent variants and some of them, are usable to an extent. (as well as with more gradual editing.)

But geez, saving to fxp? Man, that should be a job the user does themself, IMHO, for notable presets to use.

Well, Atlantis doesn't supports banks, there's always an advantage when you can scroll through presets to get an idea of what you want to get. After that anyone can tweak anything.

Bump,

The fx version has been in heavy use here but now I fell for the synth as well. Some unheard sounds in it, and programming is intuitive and flexible because of the excellent UI. I'd also expect a synth of this much modulation and animations would be much heavier for the cpu. Great work!

Is this why a "chips" folder keeps showing up in the root? I've never seen a VSTi/VST do this -- the folder is created where the plug is.

I've had a bunch of VSTs that dump crap in the system root or the host programs root folder. Most of the time it's just logs or settings, but in this case it's a whole folder of resources. In order to load waveforms you have to place them in there as well. Not ideal at all. I was hoping I would only have to put up with it until the next update but I guess we'll have to wait longer.

Never had this problem despite folders full of plug-ins. It seems an odd thing to do if only because it's easy for the resource folder to be lost among a crowded root full of folders. Plus, naming the folder "chips" only obscures what it is.
