I thought I would have seen a thread or two about it here already, but IK has announced some new products at AES
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/
yet another amplitube (metal) and a new host to host all the amplitube stuff (X-gear).
My own personal views, is I wish they would concentrate on bringing midi control to the parameters of their stuff that already exist instead of this new gear. How long has amplitube 2 been out? a year, 18 months? I don't remember.
I would also have prefered an amplitube 3 which included all the stuff, so that I could add new amps etc to what I already have. I guess that is what X-gear will do, so you can mix and match.
Of course X-gear should have been free to those who already own two or more of their Amplitube series.
But that is just my take on it.
rsp
edit: I just read the X-gear will allow control via midi controllers. hopefully I don't have to buy it to get midi control capability to what I already have.

I thought I read a review where JBL is doing something along the same lines in one (or more) of its speaker setups. This (ARC) to me seems a little more flexible and possibly more practical. We'll see.

Yeah, the ARC thing caught my attention a while back. In the old days we used to "shoot" the room with an RTA and some noise and it was a pain in the ass. Still, using some good room treatments goes a long long way toward getting some good results.

Will the ARC System be sold at eSoundz?
Hope so.

You can buy ARC right now on eSoundz in PRE-ORDER. We will ship it at the same time as IK so there is no differences. Only that you add more pointz to your membership level that will give you some unique membership savings...
