ManyOne Sample Issue (Fixed)

Hi, all. I've been using ManyOne for several months, with very pleasant results. The plug's usability, sound tailoring options, and low CPU demand, coupled with the high quality and warmth of its included samples (not to mention the bargain price) have resulted in a product that finds its way into nearly every project I create.
I especially dig the electric piano samples, and the Wurlitzer is one of my favorites. However, I have noticed that the sample triggered in the range from D#4 upward sounds funny. Specifically, shortly after the initial sounding of the note, the pitch abruptly shifts upward. For this reason, I have been staying away from the Wurlitzer soundset. Having never played a real electric piano, I'm not certain whether this reflects an idiosyncracy of the original sampled instrument, or if this is an issue with the sample itself. Judging by the abrupt nature of the pitch shift, and the absence of the phenomenon in the lower ranges, I'm guessing it's the latter.
If it is indeed a sample issue, I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed it. Maybe my download file was corrupted, and no one else has experienced it. In any case, I'd love to hear from others who have or have not run into the same problem.
Thanks!

Hi tplusj
I just tried the sampleset here and I cannot detect this. Can you try this:
Load up the wurlitzer set and then go to your sound wizard and select the "Natural Player" preset to be sure no settings on the synth are causing your trouble.
Do you still hear something strange? If so can you send me a small MP3 of it so I can hear what you are hearing. As said...I just tested the set here and get nothing like you describe.
Lets figure it out.

Hmmm, I can't hear it either.
I wonder if it's a sample rate issue or something host-related... do any of the other sounds have that abrupt pitch shifting? I'm assuming it could be a problem with the looping in samples, but I didn't hear any of that when I checked the Wurlitzer sound.

Well, I've gotten more or less to the bottom of this issue. It was not a problem with the soundset after all. Rather, the trouble seems to be with the version of the vst that I was using. A few months ago, I was having trouble with the CPU bogging down when ManyOne's modulator was engaged. After an investigation into the issue, Paul sent me an updated vst to try out. With the CPU issue resolved, I reported that all was fine. However, it appears I was not meticulous enough in my testing; the pitch shifting issue seems to be specific to this updated version. Tonight I tried reverting to the original version of the plugin, and it works fine--no funny pitch shifting. (Note: I bought a new computer since experiencing the CPU problem, and this also appears not to be an issue on the new machine.)
In any case, I hope nobody has spent too much time straining to hear problems in the upper portion of the Wurly's register.
As I mentioned to Paul in the email I just sent him, I'll try to more fully apply the scientific method before I post another bug report on KVR.
Thanks!

Weird thing is that I am using the same updated version that I sent you as is Greg I believe, and we do not get the effects here.
I am however passing this onto Aldo our coder for further investigation.
What host are you using? Sample rate etc?
We'll get there my friend as it disturbs me to hear this, especially considering neither Greg or I can reproduce it.

Was that updated version ever released? I've had problems with CPU spikes too and I believe there was a thread here about it a long while ago. So I've been kinda waiting for the update, or perhaps I just missed it?

It was never released officially as it appeared only few guys had the cpu spike issue. I have Aldo looking into this now, so we'll see what he comes up with. I'll announce back here as soon as I know more.

Hello Paul, I was wondering if the knob functions were ever changed on this updated version?
The version I'm using 1.0.1.4 has the knobs that have circular adjustment and jump to position when clicked on. There was some talk about making these functions optional.

Yes the update changed the knob movement. No choice yet as most guys do not want the circular adjustment.
Once we iron out the issues a couple folks are having we will release an official update.
Hang in there.
