Any input to this?krank wrote:Meanwhile, is there any way of running the 2.5 installer without it un-installing 2.2?

I don't think there is - there looks to be a small bug in the 2.5 installer which detects the 2.2. version as an earlier 2.5 version and uninstalls it.
You _might_ be able to install v2.2 again afterwards, but I haven't tried it. so I don't know whether that would causde any problems.
Can you say why you need to keep 2.2?

Re-installing 2.2 in turn replaces 2.5 from the VST folder. I need it because of the bug in 2.5 I mentioned earlier.DarkStar wrote:I don't think there is - there looks to be a small bug in the 2.5 installer which detects the 2.2. version as an earlier 2.5 version and uninstalls it.

I just re-organized the combis into alphabetical folders: A-F, G-L, M-Q, T-Z.asseca wrote:Yes, I assume that are reasonably sober when using ST2.5 ...DarkStar wrote:yep, thanks asseca - but you're assuming that I can aim precisely at that little area
PS I've started organising the Combis into folders -that helps a lot and makes things easier too.
I am very interested in you reorganized combis
Still working on a custom mGUI "shell" to simplify using ST2.5

I am REALLY looking forward to having those GX-1-samples. In my opinion, the GX-1 is one of the coolest synthesizers ever with a lot of cutting-edge-technology (at least in 1973...). Since they cost a fortune Yamaha didn't make that many of them (at least seven was made...).Squids wrote:
Then you will like the Keith Emerson Studio ProFile title we're working on perhaps!Samples of his Modular Moog, Hammond and GX-1. I have it on my hard drive. Sounds great! Sonic Reality helped Keith stay in the US as a foreigner actually through some projects we're working on with him. I never mentioned that before. Cool huh?
According to synthmuseum.com:
Who Played This Instrument?
Benny Andersson of Abba - quoted as saying, "It has no limits, that machine", Chess - the musical (London production), Keith Emerson - on "Works" and almost exclusively on "Fanfare for the Common Man", George Fleury, Juergen Fritz of Triumvirat, Riccardo Grotto, John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin - used extensively on "In Through the Out Door" (this instrument was later sold to Keith Emerson), Mickie Most of Rak Studios and Hot Chocolate, Gordon Reid, Rick van der Linden, Stevie Wonder - on "Songs in the Key of Life" and "Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants", Rick Wright, Hans Zimmer - who bought Keith Emerson's GX-1

I don't think there are any changes to the XL sound set... well I know I didn't do any. But there are combis that come with it now. SR didn't do those either so that was IK Italy. SR DID do some new combis for ST2.5XL that we'll be giving away on www.esoundz.com very soon and also even selling a big pack of them for download (for not that much... but we're going to start making "patch paks" for various plug-ins because people have been asking like crazy for more patches...we've even hired some star programmers to do it too). There's also a set of combis for ST2.5 that work with SS2.1 that you'll be able to purchase as a download (yes some free ones well and the purchasable set will also be free to anyone who has bought both SS2 and ST2XL from esoundz -OR- has bought SS2 from ANY store recently... and of course ST2.5 because that is required to load it).
At some point there will be features of 2.5 in SS2... no official announcement yet of what is coming though. But, I will say that if anyone is thinking about getting SS2 it is better not to wait for anything new at the moment. There are a lot of good sounds in it that will eventually be gone in the next BIG update because we'll likely do a new sound set (like we did from SS1 to SS2). So imagine this is your last chance to have such an amazing deal on all the current SS2 content? Something like that... but I will let anyone know if it is imminent. You don't have to rush to get SS2 or anything just yet. But you might WANT to know that this is how we may go with an eventual "BIG" update... new sound set.

Keith Emerson's GX-1 is coming. Yes, it is really cool to have samples of because it IS so rare! I never had one of these... although oddly enough I met a dentist who had one in his dentist office! Or did I dream that? Really odd. Haha.

Probably the only way to get you to go and see the dentist ?
Don't worry, we're all scared of this man.
No you say?
Sample one of his drills and play it back.
Goose bumps yet ?
