Speaking of Robert Wyatt and Soft Machine, here's a 1970 clip of Esther's Nose Job:
The title of this tune refers to a rather graphic description of a nose job that Esther gets in chapter 4 of Thomas Pynchon's wonderful first novel, "V", published in 1963.
The band includes Elton Dean on alto sax who passed away last year at age 60. RIP
Those were, indeed, some interesting times...

Sounds like Pet Shop Boys meet Tim Blake. So very wrong on so many levels.wikipedia.org wrote:Silicon Dream was a synthpop band formed by the German Klaus Munzert (born 14th July 1957) in 1987. Other prominent members were the dancers Angelo and Danny featuring on the band's music videos.
Inspired by bands like Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, the band came to life following Munzert's experimentations with samplers and his desire to have fun onstage dressed up, even though other people still managed to recognize him. The band's sound was similar to contemporary acts such as Off and 16 Bit, Silicon Dream even performing live with the latter.
