Hi.
I play keyboards and am looking for a module that can give me the ability to improvise over chords in a particular style (mostly jazz - some funk).
I've got a midi controller so am looking for a rack unit...a lot of good things have been said about the Roland Fantom and the Yamaha Motif but I'd appreciate any other suggestions anyone has. Price range is between 2,000-2,500 dollars. I'm really looking for a way so I can stop using my MAC for audio output.
In terms of voices - acoustic piano is the most important - anything else is a bonus although a Rhodes would be nice. Im only concerned with buying a fantom/motif is that i'll be offered a lot of 'synth' options i didn't want.

So a good piano sound, some decent drums/bass sequences if possible...in a rackmount/standalone unit...any ideas ???

thanks

Mark
