optimum frequency for hip hop

does any1 know a ballpark number for the optimum frequency for hiphop bass. I use monitors that have a frequency range all the way down to 35hz, so i cant tell if im hitting too low for everyday listening (ie car stereo, your average radio, etc.)

any imput would be greatly appreciated.....

The "average" decent system will go rolling off at around 55Hz. But that doesn't stop 20Hz frequencies to be audible; they're just softer than intended.

Why not take a commercial track you like, and run that through an analyser?
