Cool! I've been looking for something like this.
Btw, the folder for the fourth song should be "demo2", not "demo3".

Congrats on the announcement.
I'd like to hear some Steely Dan or Pink Floyd style drums. These demos have too much of a "stadium rock" or heavy metal feel for my taste. How about something with a high pitched snare, for example?

Oh man, love the AC/DC "THUD" and the Nirvana "Punch"! Great sound, all around.
So do you guys figure they did sample replacement/layering on BloodSugarSexMagic? Rick Rubin is such a natured-boy, but that drum sound sounded pretty processed to me, especially compared to the more recent stuff.

glad you guys are digging the concept! We've got some exciting announcements soon. BTW we will have a Steely Dan and a Pink Floyd kit as well. Also, can someone point me to a particular Tommy Lee/ Motley Crue song where the drums are slamming that I could model?

Yeah, these are pretty good examples. You could also check out the entire Motley Crue album.PaulG wrote:Crue songs:
Same Old Situation
Primal Scream
Kickstart My Heart
Either of these would have what you are looking for. (And what I am looking for, too!)
Gymnopedies, you may or may not like the Crue, but man, Tommy's sound (and playing) is just slamming and instantly recognizable. You can always tell it's him playing, even in unexpected places like Richard Marx's "Streets Of Pain", from his Rush Street album.

Actually, I was refering to the software. Not the drummers it's designed to reference.paveloso wrote:Yeah, these are pretty good examples. You could also check out the entire Motley Crue album.PaulG wrote:Crue songs:

well I'm happy to say that your opinion is not the majority. We had a nice crowd at the Cakewalk booth at AES when we were playing these demos. Ecstatic is a word to describe the mood.
I'm super excited to get the rest of the modeled kits done, as well as the get the Elite Mixer kits set up.

Steve, I looked for this info in your site, but wasn't able to find it.
How many velocity layers do you include in your libraries? How many will 2.0 have?
