We've just made our FULL DISC refills for Reason and libraries for SampleTank available as downloadable products on www.esoundz.com We've also added additional formats for special versions of the Sonik Capsules as download in Wusik, Giga and other formats. So - looking at the "studio drums" capsule, I see that the Sampletank/Battery/etc version is only 270mb, vs the wusikstation format, which is 970mb. And the price is way lower for the ST verion than the Wusik version.

Are these different samples? Less notes/layers?

Inquiring minds want to know.

All of the sizes reflect the final zip file size so that version zipped better probably because of the UFO. It's the same material. Depending on the format the UFO will export it as either 500mb or 1gig. I think SampleTank version is 1 gig.

The prices are being updated to be uniform with the physical products more or less. Right now they are done automatically based partially on size. But, since it is the same material and some formats make it bigger than others we're going to try to do more uniform prices when we can. So that should be done shortly. Thanks.

By Squids request the prices were changed to strictly match the physical products price when it is possible.

The reason the prices were different for each format is because it was calculated based on their size. This is still the case for the sounds that have no equivalent physical product.

Some format conversion are bigger than the original files, because they do not compress well with winzip or just because the format is not as flexible as the kontakt, Exs, or Halion formats that shares all the sames WAVs.

Okay I am interested in the Sonik Capsule: Drum 3-pack in wusikstation format, however when I went through the purchase process it asked about CD shipping. Do you get these as a download and a CD/DVD or just the download and ignore the shipping price question?

Because this is a pack of separate products, it is not available in its bundle form but in separate products (Studio Drums, Grooves...) so you need to purchase them separately. We will not change that in the short future because we think that 4 GB for a downloadable product is too big, so we try to keep the product under 1 GB when it is possible.

If you do not see "DOWNLOADS ONLY : NO SHIPPING CHARGES" in your final checkout, doublecheck your order, it may have at least one physical product that need to be shipped.

We will improve the system to better see the difference between the Downloadable and the Physical products but until we do it, here is a simple clue : all downloadable product that is also available as a physical product should have (download) in its name and title. If not, then it is not a downloadable product...
