Yeah big thanks from me as well, its amazing how your vst sounds better than any commercial metal vst sim. Please keep up the AWESOME work! You seem to have a real knack for getting usable musical distortion.
One suggestion I do have is that alot of amp sims don't seem to distort the quieter parts of the signal and thus appear very "metallic" or sterile sounding. For example this is apparent when soloing and the quiter notes appear nearly clean and "choke" and only when really hammering the strings do you hear the distortion - of course one solution is to compress the heck out of the input signal or crank the gain but this causes a loss of dynamics and excess noise.
Your sim on the otherhand I have found performs this task very well (distorts quiet and loud parts of the signal nearly equally without massively increasing the gain) But a suggestion would be to somehow increase the distortion on the quieter parts of the signal while maintaining full dynamics even more.
A perfect example of the bad gain I'm talking about is the revavler MkII's Kitty amp where the distortion is totally unmusical, metallic, jarring and only disorts the very loudest part of the guitar signal. It only sounds barely acceptable with massive tweaking/eq and compression. A good example of this is using an overdriven vintage amp for death metal, it just sounds bad.
A lesser example of this would be the change in distortion character from your earliest implementation of your tubedriver sim to your newest version. The first oldest version was amazing and added a real shine to the lower amplitude parts of the signal, but your newer versions sound sterile and give the same sort of unmusical distortion that other similar sims offer (not good).
A good example of a perfect high gain tone in my opinion can be found on Ion Dissonance's new album "Minus The Herd" or their previous album "Solace". Another good example of this would be Job For A Cowboy's new album "Genesis" - Smooth yet massively crushing distortion that sustains for ages, while retaining alot of dynamics.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I hope you understand what I'm trying to get across lol, if you got any further questions just ask!

Happy New 2007 Year- the tone is mindblowing, sounds incredibly satch like, who needs real amps anymore?
agentdark1 wrote:Hell yes! Ive found this is the best sim for meshuggah/Ion Dissonance/Arch Enemy sound, period. I dont think even a real amp could even touch this sometimes its that good.
Use the following setup:
Add a triode at -12db gain before the "kitty" amp on modern, bass at near full, strong on the mids, fair bit of treble and almost no presence. Add the signal splitter tool to the rig, put a 5150 cab in the first split (add a tiny bit of treble and bass), and the JCM800 on axis c cab in the other split with same increased bass and treble. Pan the two cabs hard left and right using the splitter. Add some extra mids in post or tweak the treble to your liking - instant heavyness!
p.s add the excellent noise suppressor in front of the rig as the gain can get pretty extreme
p.s.s try a pre eq before all of that, mess with the treble especially to increase the djent factor.
p.s.s.s Mess with the initial triode, try changing its character to change the gain structure
Hope that helps! - the palm muting RMK2 can acheive is shattering.

At first I thought that was the case - but that was before I tried this sim, I was perhaps too enthusiastic - RVMK2 is good, but after spending alot of time with the demo I realised the impulse part of it was what really floored me and made the kitty amp come alive, the amp it self however is pretty sub par. I am still boggled at how dimitar gets such a great tone out of it!

This has now been my goto amp for high gain crunch/distortion. The other sims get there, but this thing just sounds so much fuller and has a little more bite without the fizz. Download this with some cab impulses and Boogex, KeFir, or Revolverb. Try a 4x12 Celestion Vintage 30 cab, or a 2X12 (Vox AC30 style) cab for some true Bogner Uberschall type crunch sounds, which it was modeled after I assume. Antress' Metal Man poweramp/cab modeler sounded really good too after this too.

This is easily one of the best "very heavy" amp sims that I've heard.
I sent him a couple of bucks. You other guys who are digging it- having you hit his paypal yet?

I FULLY agree. I've never found an amp sim this good.
...even the GSuite (which is great), isn't this good.
But I AM on the hunt for two things.. some good Marshall cab impulses?
Also, I'd like to find something this good for more Fendery tones.
...although maybe some fender cab impulses after the RednefTwin would be good, any other suggestions?

Your own stuff is pretty good - do you have any plans to continue development?
Pretty please?
