oop just checked it out.... this thing has come so far since the last time i went back to it..... it's completely impossible with my current computer to do anything constructive with it.... (i could make some samples while hitting keys, but there's no justice there) - anywhoo... i can't wait to get a new processor for this thing.... incredible synth....

hi dover666,
"i can't wait to get a new processor for this thing...."
Your CPU is? i've recently rebuilt some presets with lowest CPU.

"incredible synth"
thanks :)

Hi all,
hold your old version : presets can not be retrieved

OXYTOCIN Updated

- some GUI elements was modified (small LCD -> larger text, hey Jeff51 :))
- CPU optimizations
- new presets added (unison, low CPU, 'vintage', 'acid')
- LFOs scale parameter : now displaying 10% to 200%
- Free Sliders : "Inertia" set to 9999ms max
- EG Release 10s -> 15s max
- automation/cc name 'normalized'

can you tell me what is your favorite preset ?

Hi Novaflash, thought it was about time I added my thanks to this ever growing thread... Thanks :D

The cpu usage has really come down over the last few months.. great stuff. Any chance of load times coming down too??

Post

thanks too to try it :)
"Any chance of load times coming down too"
unfortunately, not at the moment, it is not due to my design, but SynthEdit, like
similar software, take time to start. (SE connect internally the wires at launch)

My favorite preset (today :hihi: ) is S-Mysterious. If I was gonna pick which preset I thought should be the first one a new user opened the synth to find it would be S-NewOne. I also really like S-BassX, S-Orch and S-Morph. Your Arp presets are pretty amazing as well, which is strange to me because I don't usually care much for Arps.

Post

thanks bobsled,
it's to know what kind of preset i should extend for Oxytocin user.
i've planned to move the TOP10 presets to the 1st 'slots'
When Oxytocin will be released as "final", i will post thematic banks.
128 presets are too small for me (SE limit)

PS : a user have reported a bug from FM/PD when EG is selected,
i will publish a new version tomorrow.

mmmh...
thanks Eric for this new release, but i fear that Oxytocin is not very stable now under some systems : it crashed Live5,2, and 2 instances made Ext2 crash, too...

Post

sinkmusic,
thank to report this.
It's strange because i've not modified important things internally,
So it seems the GUI is the problem. I will try something different.

Merci :)

Just to confirm trying to use more than instance in Energy XT 2 causes EXT to crash.

Post

chuck death or sinkmusic, can you test the Vista version inside EXT2?
the only difference between Xp & VISTA version is the third party module Scope3
and this one have a bug. (i suppose the previous Oxytocin version work with EXT2?)

3 instances of Vista version seem to run fine in Ext2.

btw, it is still quite long to load (about 10 seconds on my laptop).
But the cpu is indeed a bit better.;)

Post

sinkmusic, thank you to have check.
Unfortunately this scope3 is x1000 better than native SE but have a big bug.

I know for the 10 sec loading, it's due to the large "modularity" of Oxytocin
and long initialization time of SE. (i don't know how many wires are connected
but there is a ton of link inside and my SE windows do not move smoothly!)

I get the same crash with the vista version. I tried it in EXT 1 as well and got this message when attempting to load a second instance:
