I crashed my V-Synth!!! ...and I'm pleased as punch

The sounds that resulted were cooler than hell! I had split the keyboard so I could have 2 independant sliced drum loops each with pitch being modulated by another loop. I also had 10 parameters being modulated from Numerology on top of it's own sequencer and LFOs. The initial recording started out well enough but then I started noticing unexpected artifacts which got louder and louder untill the wholed sound engine became unresponsive!
I turned it off and turned it back on at which point it simply booted to the main menu. After going through the process of restoring the factory defaults I was back in business.
I know this would be an inconvenience to most but breaking things is what I do for a living. I got such a kick out of crushing this beast of a synth under the preasure of pure breakbeat massacre.
This thread was started for purely self indulgent purposes. Sorry for wasting your time.

V-Synth crash
Thanks Dusted William for your funky ass drums. This mess of noise used to be the loops "Ohh LA 2" and "Tight Fit 1".

that is absolutely frikkin wierd...
I used to think the internet was going to unite mankind. Now I realize the internet is perhaps mankinds greatest wasteland of bickering, greed, and narrow minds. " And we all shine on, " Imagine that.

the link is above, listed as "V-Synth crash", it's just hard to differentiate from the rest of the text. You'll hear in the last minute that it looses clock sync with Numerology and just starts creating random noise similar to when you play a loop without a sync source but it was modulating it self in very wierd ways. I had stopped Numerology and it just kept going till it crapped out and stopped making sound.

When it was functioning properly it was much cooler. I'll post that once it's arranged.

sounds like a continuity announcer scrabbling with his lapel mic in a mad rush to pleasure himself in quicksand, waking up in a fridge and then being extricated by pneumatic drill only to be mown down in a hail of bullets, with just enough energy left to destroy the death star, twice, and then switch the lights back on.

That's strange...clueless wrote:sounds like a continuity announcer scrabbling with his lapel mic in a mad rush to pleasure himself in quicksand, waking up in a fridge and then being extricated by pneumatic drill only to be mown down in a hail of bullets, with just enough energy left to destroy the death star, twice, and then switch the lights back on.
