Wow - interesting how the internet is changing, isn't it?
We could of course start to argue whether free samples are better than pay-porn, but uhm...

Hi, I didn't read through all 20 pages or so here, but I didn't see www.perimetersound.com listed on the first page (although considering the time spent in front of a computer monitor the last few years, I may just be literally going blind). Just wanted to invite people to check out our free loop samples, they are hosted through TradeBit, so it takes a little mouse clicking, but they are free, and you do not need to/have to join our mailing list to get them. We plan to have some new material, and a re-release of Abstract World Fusion II with 1/2 new material out soon, most likely not until 2008, but at the rate we've been moving lately, that will still qualify as "soon" ha-ha, and of course more free loop packs will be posted to promote those when they are released.

For good reasons probably. Page needs ages to load and there isn't anything worthwhile to see either. Spam?

I just clicked on it and it loaded in about 1.5 seconds, perhaps when you tried we were experiencing heavy traffic to the site. I'm not sure about the "there isn't anything worthwhile to see either. Spam?" part of your comment, but that seemed a bit rude. We offer free loop sample packs from all of our cds, as well as some preview loops from soon to be released packs, in addition to some music theory lessons, soundfonts, wallpapers, and a ton of other content. We do not have, and never have had, any pop-ups or advertising on our website, so I really have no idea how you came to the conclusion that we were "spam", and there "isn't anything worthwhile to see either". At any rate, everyone is welcome to visit our site, even if you just want to check out the free loops, that's what they are there for (and please note that we do have them in Garageband/Apple format as well as Acidized/Pc format). Thanks.

Doesn't load here either - just get the company banner and <a title = "News from the Perimeter" href='/index.

It seems to work better in IE.If you use firefox there's an extension called IE tab that switches the rendering engine. Some pages work better in IE,page loaded straight away when i switched to the ie tab :)

Looks like a good site. There's stuff from kvr members on there

Well, proper site developers should at least check whether their sites are working in FF, Opera and probably Netscape as well.
This site doesn't work with FF in default mode at all, and personally, I couldn't be bothered to either start up IE or install some FF extensions just to visit it. My miss? Maybe, yes. But then, some other people may miss out as well. Some with bigger wallets than mine included.

We will try to look into the problems accessing our site with browsers other than IE, and apologies to those who have had problems. We tried to keep it simple, no flash, no ads, no weird stuff, but apparently there might be other considerations, we'll check into it and see if something can be done.

Hi people -
Have updated my music / SFX samples links list below
(checked links june 2007). (except for jonas' list that I've added at the end)

Also check out later posts in this thread by MrBong and Declassified, I tried to add them to this first post but hit the word count limit :)

Finally, check out my 2005 MEGA SOUND LINK list - REDUX! in the Everything Else forum, which contains more resources than just samples (but contains my sections of this post) : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38291

Ah lists can never be complete of course. These lists pop up every now and then when someone asks for a sample site. Though, these lists are hard to update, hence the waveform.dk :D

Anyway, If I can be free: If you want, check out Splurgo, it's an online shop for royalty free loops and samples. Offers also production music tracks and sound fx. Just stop by and check it out.

Free music samples and synth patches site. More then 600 mb high quality non-compressed royalty free sounds.
