ds404-outputs?

Im trying to send the different channels to different outputs in ds404, but
I cant get it to work-right now I always do mixdowns of each track and then
mix the audio instead-this works fine though ..


-does anyone know how to do this-dont tell me its those little yellow thingies
`cause they do exactlu .... when I klick on èm...

Well, its the litte yellow things that are the output selectors matey, if they aint working then you aint using 'em right.

What host are you using? What exactly are you trying to do (route samples in the same patch to different outs or use 404 multitimbrally? Let me know and I'll give you a step by step on how to set up the multipal outs.

-yes-use it multitimbrally-load more than one patch and route them to different outs...
-Ive figured out how to load different patches and give them new midi-channels..The manual only tells me about the yellow things-but Ive clicked and clicked...and dragged..

It should be simple in SX. When you create DS-404 5 new outputs will appear in the mixer (F3). The first is the stereo ds404 main buss, everything will come out of here unless you tell it otherwise. So you have correctly managed to load 2 or more samples into two or more adjacent banks (so the patch display reads 1:1 for the first, 2:2 for the second etc) right? Press F4 you will be taken to the mixer interface, where each of the first few sliders relate to each patch you haver loaded. try it, pull fader 2 down and sound 2 should attenuate (although they are still outputting through stereo 1). If this is working ok, just click the second yellow button down to the right of the second fader and this channel will be sent to 2/3 in the cubase mixer.

In CMuzys its a bit more complex, as you have to manually route the outputs to their destination track in the CMuzys mixer before switching the output on the channel you want to route to another fader...

DS404 has five outputs (one stereo, four mono). The yellow button represents the current output (by default output #1, the main stereo out), and there are four blue button underneath for the other outputs. Click on a blue button to change the output of a particular channel strip. Once you click on it, it will change to yellow. Clicking on the currently selected output (the yellow button) has no effect, obviously.

If you are using DS404 in Computer Muzys, remember to set up the output properties correctly in the synth rack to make the DS404 outputs route into different channels in the mixer.

Pipped by mere seconds. But yes of course you are correct, the buttons are BLUE untill they are used and the 3,4,5 outs are mono.
