Hey guys, I love this forum because I always get the answers that I seek, only now i have a problem that has always been haunting me ever since i hear Basshunter's wonder song "Halla Dar." the bass that he uses is indescribable. I need to know how to recrate it.

The best example that i can find of this is in this song at about 50 seconds into the song, not the bass that starts the song out, but the bass that comes in at the 50 second mark.

hehe.....everything is nice in the right moment!!!......i think it sound like a typical 303 sound "resonant filter sweeping a distorted square wave and maybe some saw wave too"

That's not a "bass" for me, anyway it's a sync synth part, certainly not a 303 sound or derivative, not at all.. it's clearly a syncd wave, typical for this kind of trance. Don't you ever synthesized a sync? Try with DiscoDSP Discovery, it can do this kind of sounds pretty well.

Eventhough I don't listen to music in this genre, I Actually think it's ok composition and production wise. It's the video, the lyrics and the artist that is embarrasing. IMHO.

i didnt watch the video, production wise its a pro mix.master.pro sounds/ synths, drums etc. the sound design is top notch thats true... but its so so so cheesy...

Of course the composition is good, it was done by John Williams. Then mutilated by Basshunter. Abysmal.
