Hey as you know I have ALL your basses now

I do love them. I just have one thought. I WISH you would post some different style demos. I think it will actually help you sell even more. Again the demos you have sound great and maybe that is what is needed. But, there are ALOT of guys who would like to hear some modern pop/rock/country etccc.. I know a couple of guys right now who would most likely buy, but they are not sure if it would fit with the style of music they do. More modern stuff. Anyway, just a thought . Dont take this wrong because I am a 100% Scarbee fan and know what it can do!!!

hey Rolley,

You're right man! And I'm working on a lot of songs right now - not exactly demos, real songs that I will put on myspace site soon.
These will be more rock/pop songs. My problem is TIME...I also do some bass programming for other artists and spend most time on Scarbee.

Just wish I had 29 hours in a day...

I got my download and I LOVE this thing. Thanks for taking the time to program this it will save me from having to wait on my bass player/ brother to show up and record. I've already made 4 tracks with it and sold one of them.

Does Red bass include the "Bonus samples" from JSnF mapped within the presets? I have always wanted to use some of these, but never had luck converting the Gigastudio file, nor did I feel like mapping it myself for that matter. If these samples ever get the K2 treatment, I think I'd be quite interested.

No I haven't mapped those. It was some special samples that I only made for J2 sound.

Hi Thomas. I already own the full version of J Slap n' Fingered for Halion. I don't have contact 2 but would love to have Red Bass. Will you be releasing versions of these with Kontakt Player or VSTi versions soon?

I just picked up the upgrade online for Red Bass - love it! I've been a SCARBEE customer since my GigaStudio days. It was one of the first libraries I bought "back in the day". The "trick" is that you can radically alter the tone with good effects. I use iZotope's Trash most often, but now I'm interested in toying with the effects in Cubase/Nuendo 4 as well as the new internal effects in Kontakt 3. Perhaps some Kontakt setups using internal effects would be cool. I don't know how much of it I'll get done (worth sharing) between now and the end of the year - since I have some orchestral/big band stuff to get done, but if I come up with something in another "genre" that folks might like I'll post and MP3 clip and either notes on achieving the sound or the direct preset. Sound cool? Man, I'm stoked about this "born again" library...

HHaynes,, You are soooo right!! He has it set so you can do whatever style you need. It is the BEST!! Believe me I have gone through just about every sample/vst out there. To be honest the reason I did NOT buy this to begin with (and I hate to say this), was because the price was so cheap compared to everything else. I thought it would suck

) Well, I learned a important lesson. Do not go by the price LOL!! Man, I wish I had bought this 1st.. Saved alot of money and would have soooo many more bass tracks done.. You know it might be a great "idea" on the Scarbee forum to let guys post there setups etcc to exchange ideas to help people like me to get the "right" sounds.. Anyway Scarbee al the WAY!!

Yeah - I noticed that there are some "User Preset" slots within the interface - so there's a way to save your own prefs within Scarbee's programming. My only question is - can the preset be saved out and posted on their forum and the like? I'll have to try that in the morning. Likewise, it would be cool to have a Cubase 4 track preset that would use some of the including VSTs - the amp sim in particular is pretty amazingly good for an "included" plugin. That would limit it to Cubase users, but it would be something, at least.

I've also got the Vintage Keyboard Collection and VKFX, and SID XL to boot. I'm working on a jazz combo that includes the horns with Kontakt 3. Life is good.

Cubase 4 with update ROCKS!!! So happy now

))) He maybe Mr. Scarbee can chime in on the idea..
