You guys ever have a track laced up with a lot of synths and VSTis and just need to add a few samples to finish the song?

I know I do, and I love the Battery 3 interface for this. It is just a massive memory crusher though. I was wondering if there are any cool basic samplers that work like battery 3. Where you can load up a drum kit or sound efects on different buttons and pitch them and trigger them. Something a lot more basic that maybe someone maybe made as freeware. Does such a thing exist?

I like this, but I think it's a drum machine. I'd like to be able to loadup my own samples...or I am mistaken?

AM Virtuadrum might work for you. It'll let you load and pitch any samples. And you can route them from the GUI.

Dr. Modus is not a drum machine, it is a drum sampler that you have to play manually by midi.

You can load samples in it.

Any little freebie Samplers that do this?
