OK, latest CM is out and has a page in the news about the DC, with bits from tuz and Ben, which is nice. There are some screenshots as well [alien artifacts, Duckling Compressor, and damn - I've forgotten the others! I was in a newsagent and didn't have much time, and didn't have chance to purchase]

Also, just inside the back cover is the listing of all the plugs with a brief sentence about them, and a reference to the competitors website. there are also 5 mini tutorials on that page, including a nice one about Sounds of Nature

Shame there wasn't more, but they do have a magazine to run and lots of articles vying for space, so 2 pages ain't bad i guess!

xoxos, the first page of that second .pdf is about the DC in general. But indeed, it's not really about the entries themselves.

I must say I'm a bit underwhelmed by CM "coverage". They basically have one page where they quote Ben and Tuz, i.e. pretty much nothing to write for them, and the other where they just quote the tips some developers sent.
I would have thought they could do a bit better, considering the fact that they are a sponsor and got 41 programs for free on their DVD. I don't know, like actually *write* something themselves...

Or maybe I'm just too old and grumpy, but in my time ...

Mine have just come through. The 7-pager is the whole news section, first page of that is an interview with Tuz.

Still tempted to buy a copy, wouldn't mind a play with Samplitude...

re: CMs involvement, yeah, I nearly posted something about this before but ultimately it's coverage not sponsorship they're providing. If they said they were sponsoring the compo then they'd be wide open to attack. I still reckon they're getting a good deal out of it, lots of 'free' content.
