I would like only the sounds from Collossus to be heard when I play the keys, but I also get the sounds from the sh-201.

How do I get only the sounds from Collossus?

Post

never used the 201, but is a local mode swith somewhere?

Post

im just full of typos today..anyway, local mode switch off should be the solution. my guess is, the 201 has one.

There is no local button! I can't do it that way. For sure, there are lots of other buttons! :) Here is a picture of them:

What can I do?

How are you getting the audio from your 201? USB or audio?

Post

I listen to the sh-201 using headphones straight into the back of the sh-201.

Looking at the bottom picture in the link above, you can see a pedal button on the left.

The sh-201 is connected to the computer through:

1) USB - next to that pedal hole
2) midi in/out - the 2 ports next to the usb port

I don't properly know how to hook up the sh-201. Maybe i am wrong about using all those connections...

Read that effing manual. There should be a chapter about midi that explains which buttons to press to turn "local off".

I found the answer in the manual, of all places!

Here is how to turn on / off Local with the SH-201:

1.
Hold down the CANCEL button and
press the TAP button
2.
Press the PRESET button and then press
the BANK D button
3.
Press the NUMBER 2 button
Lit:
ON,
Dark:
OFF
4.
Press the CANCEL button

Now, why on Earth didn't I think of that?! :)
Thank you for the help, people!

You should have started there in the first place. That's what it's for. But I'm glad you found it.
