Hmmmm... would anyone be interested in this even though it doesn't have a soft layer?

Like I said, it's a little impractical due to file size having more velocity layers.

I'm not sure, as I only have my laptop speakers right now. I don't think it's a bad thing if it sounds good. Maybe have a one octave demo or something to see what people think when actually playing it? Or maybe even just select a few people to send the demo to if you don't have the bandwidth.

Sorry, just ideas. As a piano player, I'm ALWAYS interested in new pianos. It will just depend on the sound, which I haven't listened to yet until I get home.

Maybe I was a little harsh--I like the sound,and hadn't heard the most recent improv when I said it needed another layer. I'm sure that many people would use this piano. My only worry is that more people would like it if it had another layer or two, even if the other layer was just every white note.

What format do you plan to release it in?

this piano sounds...freaking great. it's real. doesn't sound all processed and crap. if that's you simply playing the samples...well, i'm impressed.

i really look forward to getting a copy of this thing. it's amazing IMO.

either sfz or soundfont would be best - seeing as with sfzed you can alternate between the two formats to suit your needs and most samplers support either/or.

Thanks. Yeah, I kept all the demos posted here completely dry, because sometimes reverb is used to cover up unrealistic key releases.

This isn't the end all be all piano. But if you need something that's fun to play and has character to the tone (not all unrealistically pristine like some pianos out there), it could be a good addition to your sound library.

I think SFZ would be a good format for me to include. It's a pretty powerful format from what I've seen.

plus, with sfz - I can stick it into dim pro and get high quality sinc interpolation...
