Hi,

I'm looking for good (preferrably Acid format) loop libraries for songwriting purposes, sort of like a sketchpad for chord progressions.

The problem is that most chord loops seem to have have some melodic elements, which makes it difficult to build your own chord progressions. I'm looking for simple chord patterns with varying rhythms to be transposed freely.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, I've tried this and it's actually a promising concept, but quite limited feature-wise. Hopefully it will be developed further!

Why not just chop the chords out of a certain loop and arrange them to your liking and build around that. The process is quite a bit faster with a beat slicer if you ask me, but it can be done with acid easy enough too.

It produces midi output, but is otherwise designed to do just what you're describing. (It specialises in simulating Guitar strums and arpeggios)

Thanks for the suggestions.

I decided to give Realguitar a try as well. The drag and drop midi pattern functionality might do the trick for me. And it sounds good.
