I think that's the best way.

So it looks like there's no problems with it yet (yay!), so I'm thinking of simply bumping the quality a notch, then releasing it as 1.3 final.

I have somebody that's testing its compatibility with Reaktor for me, gotta see how that works out.

Just got a confirmation that everything is working splendidly with Tracktion 3! :D

You may also want to add energyXT 1.4.1 to the list of hosts comfirmed to work. I've tested on that as well as on T3. :D
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

oh, oops, didn't see that :D

Been having midterms/essays, but I loaded it for a bit last night with Energy XT (the plugin 1.4) and everything was fine.

Thanks again for this. :)

Chris,

Do you plan to add more than 2x oversampling?

Post

Just tried this in Tracktion3 whith the DS404 and it works great - amazing :D

What is it actually doing?

Thank you very much, very happy indeed :D

Eventually, yes. The filter I'm using now is very good but it's still "only 2x oversampling", for some things (like synths that use completely non-bandlimited waveforms) it needs a bit more than that.

The same thing it says in the original post :hihi:. It oversamples and thus reduces aliasing ... although to be fair, I don't think it'd help with a drum sampler. It's meant to be used with aliasing synthesizers and non-linear effects that produce aliasing.

Does anyone know if there would be any beneficial audible effect of using this with a plug that already has the option of oversampling?

Would putting one oversampler inside another have any detrimental effects?

Nope. Shouldn't be any problem. :D

Thanks :)

Do you suppose plugins that have oversampling as an option built in (Ampltude 2, Guitar Rig 2 and 3, Discovery, etc.) use similar oversampling methods? I'm guessing it's pretty hard to know unless you can see the code.
