Do you suppose plugins that have oversampling as an option built in (Ampltude 2, Guitar Rig 2 and 3, Discovery, etc.) use similar oversampling methods? I'm guessing it's pretty hard to know unless you can see the code.

They probably use a similar method to either what HIIR is doing now or what I did before (FIR). There's other ways but they're not nearly as good.

Many thanks. This is a great idea, really useful.

I also thought I'd mention (as I don't think anyone else has, but I've not read all 16 pages) that this can also be used to good effect on eqs. It will give much more symetrical curves at higher frequencies.

Thanks for the bump

For those of you that have FL Studio or the Juice Pack, you can easily see the effect the oversampling has on the spectrum using the FL Parametric EQ 2. Load up a high shelf or something that boosts or cuts up there, then turn on or off the HQ button (which turns on/off 2x oversampling, like VST Oversampler). I'm sure there's other EQs out there that can showcase this as well but this is the only one I can think of atm...

If you would make it a Synthedit module I think it would be used a lot in new
SE creations.

(The SE sdk is quite similar to the vst sdk I was told)

I think your oversapler more than deserves to be included. Probably you just need to explain that your implementation is all done behind the scenes and that a screen shot is impossible?

Or perhaps you could provide a screen shot of your dll in a random vst folder next to the vst dll
