hi,

I made a bass preset like the preset n°3 of the original bank of this classic vintage of Sequential Circuit(1984).

sixtrack_bass.fxp

and a little demo

Left=original sixtrack sound
Right=Kx-Modulad (one kx filter and just one waveform)
sixtrack_bass.wma

Pretty darn close imo.

Proves kx-modulads more than capable in the VA stakes.

Very cool. :)

With a solid synthesizer, based on a sound designer experience, you can emulate a lot of VA. The technic is not really important.

Hi,

In fact, I mainly used ADSR curve to mimic the dynamic of sixtrack and added a bit of distortion. I use the EG delay with the VCA to hide pop due to the very short vcf release(LP HQM).

I created this subject to demystify the vintage sound (80's).

In fact I think I had the same result with the Kxomni, given that it uses similar modules.

They sound very similar to me, the left(the hardware synth, right?) sounds a bit more lively but the right(KXModulad I think)sounds like it has more presence, it's not as wimpy.

Hi,

The first is the SixTrack (direct output).

I added this template inside the bank of the Kx-Polymod (v 1.02)
